Is it a separate issue? For now I've just rolled back to 1. After upgrading to 1. I'll take a wild guess that this is the relevant message: [T] DEBUG1: clipboard: sending failure to 0x00c,31,0 Let me know if you need DEBUG2 or if you want to send me custom binaries with more logging. After upgrade to the latest stable build, I am no longer able to copy images from Win10 to Win10 using the x64 client, Frequently if not persistently the file errors in the logs with teh following.
This worked for a long time I searched issues and did not see it posted yet. Wondering if anyone else is seeing this or if it is a "me centric" issue. I'd previously missed that you we were talking specifically about images. To test I took a screenshot on the server Windows 10, Print Scrn then moved the mouse over to the client Ubuntu The mouse pointer never visibly returned to the server, instead the CPU fan went nuts and all input was blocked.
Obviously the server log was lost in the process, however I was able to retrieve the client log from the syslog FYI that's a manual restart at :. Aug 14 hostname systemd[1]: Started Synergy client service.
For me it is not just images. Text too. I dont think my server is crashing either. Restarting the client has been bringing it back The server does get teh clipboard copied too because I can paste the content locally.
I've been having the same issue with OS X The copy-paste doesn't work in my case when I am connected to a computer via Teamviewer. I haven't the ability to change the elevated mode to see if it can fix the problems, as I have mentioned in Server: Windows 10 x64, Client: Windows 7 x64 Both with the 1. Server and Client have Win 10 Pro x 64 and Synergy v1.
They activating a window and hitting paste. Thanks for your feedback, but read the title, we're trying to do the opposite. Le 12 sept. Ok, so is there an open issue about copying from a macosx client to a windows server not working?
Testing Bug SRV: synergy-v1. Thes steps will test both and Because the bugs happen intermittently, this requires up to a day of testing, sorry about that. Copied various plain texts both directions. Copied images. Synergy was stable. During paste operation, I was switching screens rapidly. Synergy stayed connected after pasting Chinese characters. It occurred only once. Next several attempts to reproduce Asian signs failed.
See attached screen shot. LeadManPL If those 'Chinese signs' or any other artifacts appear again can you look at the tail end of your logs for anything conspicuous? It's be a big help. Log files and screen shots attached. I have the same issue when copying from windows server to Ubuntu client is there a build I should try?
Can you maybe prioritize this a bit higher? When I focused the window and then unfocused the window, it removed the lock.
Maybe this helps someone After restarting my macbook everything works again. The only thing I recommend to the developers is to show this in the synergy icon to tell the user that synergy is unable to capture keystrokes. Do you know of anything that can be run as sudo to release the current app from holding IsSecureEventInputEnabled?
Maybe someone from the Synergy team could get in contact with 1Password and LastPass as they seem to be the main culprits and you'll be able to explain the issue a little more than a user.
I can confirm the bug of losing keyboard but mouse still works on two OSX sytems The issue disappears when I close Google Chrome Happens also from same OSX server to both a Windows 7 and Windows 10 client - with the same closing Google Chrome on the server to fix it.
This has happened to me a couple of time. Turns out I have the Terminal app open on my Mac without an open window. When I finally figure it out again, I close Terminal on my the Mac and the keyboard starts magically working again to the PC. One of these days I will learn I had this happen today. The script above helped me isolate it. I locked the screen and unlocked it and everything worked again.
I think I may have caused this by attempting to use my keyboard on my other system while the system running Synergy server was locked.
It happen to me today. I'm with two Macs one server and one client , and on both I have Chrome opened with LastPass plugin active. Every day I just lock them until the next day some days I quit Synergy on both computers, some days I just leave them running , and after several days without problems, when I sat to work today only mouse was working on the client. After all, literally just lock and unlock the server's computer solved the issue, immediately. What i'm using Both server and client using Synergy version 1.
I have also recently installed the LastPass browser extension in chrome. Confirming that locking and unlocking server on macOS vs Windows 10 client solved the issue. Thanks, rmdrabach! Just a note that the latest version of the Signal Desktop App 5. SecureEventInput is on a Synergy can't send keys until you kill Signal. Thanks legonigel for the script to help confirm this. This has been driving me nuts for months.
Mac server, various hosts mostly Mac or Linux based. Things will work great for days or weeks then randomly lock up. Mouse works fine, keystrokes stay at the server.
I'm not running any of the password management apps or browser extensions mentioned above. Or 'sudo pkill -f loginwindow' because for some reason there is a login window open in memory that is expecting input. This, obviously, logs you out and kills the synergy server. Logging back in and restarting synergy restores everything to beautiful workng order.
Thanks to motopete for the TextExpander idea. Thanks to legonigel for the secureinput script. This was a great tool to confirm that -something- was holding the input on the synergy server. I'll figure out some way to cause the issue again and then hopefully resolve it with a script, without having to log out. The following function helps to identify what processes are pending secure input on the Synergy Server Mac. Secure Input prevents the keystrokes from being shared, thus preventing the keystrokes echoing on the Synergy client device.
What I do with the output is a still work in progress. I have tried killing the PID s returned e. That wasn't ideal and I don't recommend it. But once you do address the service in question, the Synergy clients will start receiving keyboard input.
Locking the Synergy Server Mac while triggering the screen saver, then unlocking by authenticating releases the SecureInput lock! Screen locks.
Now log in to unlock. I've read that authenticating via Apple Watch, finger scan or keyboard will suffice. Fixed in 1.
If SecureEventInput is true, the application notifies the user about it. How do I update Synergy to the latest version? Do all international keyboards work with Synergy? What are the languages supported by Synergy User Interface? What are the operating systems supported by Synergy?
