Which sizzix machine should i buy

This even includes dies and embossing tools of other brands! Because of the simplistic design of the Big Shot Plus, maintaining control of your work is easier than ever. The alignment, speed, and precision make moving as quickly or slowly as you want on a project completely up to you.

Its wide platform now gives you more options to expand the materials you craft with! With the Big Shot Plus being a manual machine, you will use the hand crank to move your materials through it. No worries, though, because the crank is padded and super comfy to use. Honestly, this is one of my favorite features!

My hands are far less tired at the end of a project now. Sizzix really upped their game with the Big Shot Plus in a lot of ways but one notable attribute was how smoothly the machine operates. I have worked with manual die cutters that yank and tug; I always have problems getting the materials through them.

Not with the Plus. You can purchase design files, get them for free Benzie offers several on our blog! Check out our ivy plant here Ask yourself what sort of crafter you are -are you one that wants to just make a ton of one thing? Or are you more of a dabbler and want to try out a lot of things? The Sizzix Big Shot is better for those who are cutting out a large volume of similar shapes.

Just make daisy crowns? Or have your narrowed in on coffee cozies? Even though it will give your arm a workout -you'll get it done quick and neatly with the Sizzix.

If your tastes are varied and bulk makes you bored you will have more fun with the Cricut Maker -and can try every new design that comes your way! Don't forget that both machines work super well with felt Both are fantastic options! Big Shot: -6 in wide platform area card stock, embossing folders, and dies all have to be less than 6 inches wide to fit in machine.

But again, it depends on if you have the room for it in your craft room. For tips on getting the most from your die-cutting read our post Die-cutting Tips and Tricks. Is it as good and durable as the Big Shot?

I see now that I need only the Big Shot for the small amount of work that I do. Many many thanks to you. It came with the solid base and a mylar top which could be removed or attached depending on what you were doing. It has two tops to add thickness depending on what your working with. The handle is different on the Bigkick. I prefer the Bigshot handle to the Bigkick. It just feels more solid to me and I like the shape better.

I have churned out a lot of die cutting between the two models. The pro I bought to use for quilting. I have purchased numerous accuquilt dies and the mylar sheet to run them through the pro.

It has a much bigger opening than the accuquilt machines so to use their dies the platform needs to be increased in size. When I researched die cutting machines I chose Sizzix over all the rest because of the versatility in being able to use all the other manufacturers dies out there whereas other manufacturers would not necessarily take sizzix dies.

I do not need the Plus but the Pro will run the plus dies if I need to run a 9inch steel rule die, of course it also takes the bigkick and big shot dies and platforms as well. It has a much stronger force when cutting. The reason I stumbled upon this site was I was looking for a tote to put my Pro into because I want to take it with me to another place, so far no luck…. Maybe you can answer my questions. I see your data on the largest size the machine will do.

My questions are: Are there large embossing folders or stencils out there? How large? If I use smaller ones, is there a way I can avoid getting the impression of the edges of the embossing folder or stencil? Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
